The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 马东锡打人就像打西瓜，第一次看到警察是把犯罪嫌疑人打到动不了然后逮捕的hhhhh莫名有点爽！
比上一部打的爽，但剧情太拉了。具是真的帅。
这好些年这样拳拳到肉的动作戏越来越少了。剧情有硬伤。
一方面，本片剧情流畅，节奏紧凑，快节奏里只夹杂极少量文戏，角色塑造鲜明，男主战力天花板设定，看起来是真的爽，各种徒手战刀，一拳超人，太狠了。另一方面，本片也是流水线式的韩国警匪片。无能、市侩的上司，关键时刻一定掉链子的同伴，默契、全能的编外好友，坚强的女性，偏执、黑的彻底的反派。另外，出警不带枪，甩棍拦汽车，搞不懂韩国警察的环境。最后，我不觉得哈尔滨张濂是笑点，结合《魔女2》的中国上海4人组，我只觉得韩国近期电影里中国人反派角色变多了，而且都是智商堪忧、金玉其外的死龙套反派。算是勉强可堪一看吧，勉强3星。
虽然故事没看就已经猜到了，不过有一说一，真的挺好的，首先人物塑造很到位，就十分期待两大猛男最后的硬碰硬，如果赢不要那么轻松就更好看了，显得对手太次了，其次影片节奏还算可以，清楚知道自己受众市场，搞笑、动作、肌肉该有的都有，马老师的个人英雄主义电影算是很成功的代表的了。

三星的故事，但马东锡值得一星。我下辈子要嫁给马东锡啊……
江海尚战斗力虽不及哈尔滨张谦（也可能是马队长武力值在这集里拉爆了），但那种一人营造的纯恶的恐怖感.我站孙锡久！
反派严重智商不足又打不过警察。那股子狠劲也是外强中干。
20220729 在ins上有留意到马东锡po的关于这部的一些制作场景，后又被密集的媒体报道给种草。正所谓期望越高，失望越大。看片时不需要费脑筋，完全就是看🐴大胸肌如何拍死匪徒。要说可看性，远不及他的《愤怒的黄牛》
看马东锡就一个字“爽”。这种暴力的直接碾压充分调动了观众的肾上腺素，反派虽也难以匹敌，但是房间里的一段长镜头调度还不错，可惜最后大战没有长镜头一波。还可以。
下下下下部马东锡退休，被变态逼得出山，顺带教育了只按规章办事的后辈警员。
虽然剧情平淡，节奏一般。但是墩墩真的是可爱的，我可以一直盯着看。ps记不得第一步的剧情，有些点没get以及主角光环压他人太多。

杀人的时候，血飞溅出来也太不要钱了吧～两部连着看，第二部确实给港产的警匪片差太多了。
受不了了……我今晚就要和马东锡睡觉！！！！哭出声。
中间还玩了哈尔滨张晨梗，全厅就我一个人笑得好大声。
非常标准的韩国商业动作片。制作水平依旧在线不拉垮，节奏张弛有度娱乐性很强。马东锡以不变应万变，即便是在模板式的韩国类型片里，创作者们依旧在人物设计和一些细节上力求新意，比如睿智冷静的被绑架者夫人、马东锡拳拳到肉之外的粗中有细的动作设计等等。和第一部少了些惊艳和名场面，孙锡久饰演的反派虽然精彩但少了些层次，碍于剧本上所有角色都提线木偶完成注定的功能属性，所以可惜了正邪对决上没有第一部的立体爽感。看优秀的韩国商业片时总在想，如果香港电影如今还保持活跃和高产，会是一番什么样的景象呢。
